It’s safe to say that the 2016 summer rodeo season is now in full swing! Over two-dozen well-acclaimed rodeos were hosted over the weekend, and the #CINCHteam didn’t miss the opportunity to capitalize on several high dollar payouts.
Nearly $124,000 was up for grabs in Fort Smith, AR for the Old Fort Days Rodeo. Heith DeMoss took home a nice cash prize when he placed 5th in the saddle bronc riding with a 78-pt. score. The #CINCHteam dotted the leaderboard in the tie-down roping in Fort Smith. Marty Yates took the top spot in the tie-down with an 8.6-second run. Shane Hanchey came close in 2nd with 8.7 seconds; Timber Moore in 4th with 8.9; Westyn Hughes placed 8th with 9.4, and Caleb Smidt took a tie for 9th with a time of 9.5 seconds.
New to the #CINCHteam, Katelyn McLeod, placed 8th in the barrel racing with a 16.91-second run.
Winning big money wasn’t the only accomplishment for the #CINCHteam over the rodeo weekend. For steer wrestler, John Franzen, this past rodeo weekend marked his first big win since coming off knee surgery and a year long recover. Franzen dogged his steer in a nice 4.7-seconds to take the top spot in the Elizabeth Stampede Rodeo. The win marked a good start to Franzen’s 2016 rodeo run.
Also earning a big win in Elizabeth, CO was saddle bronc rider, Tyler Corrington. Corrington placed 2nd with an 83.5-pt. ride.
